Yaaay alert the newspapers, yes…(drumroll) I, that is, I, Kate Baker, have a BLOG! YES, I too, have finally, after much dragging of the feet, much hemming and haw-ing (is that hemming like, hemming a skirt, or whaat? And what exactly IS “haw-ing, anyway??), and stubborn protests and whining, kicking and screaming toddler-style (ok there was no actual screaming, as a matter of course…)…but I too, have finally been dragged and forcefully even, PUSHed, into the 21st century. What can I say? I am sooo a 20th century gal…I heart all things corporeal – paper, pencils, dayplanners, photo albums with the old-school paper corners…I can’t help it, I am a techno-phobe to the nth degree.
But alas, I have realized (and also been TOLD in no uncertain terms by those close to me…ahem, husband!) that it’s time to join the rest of society, and hone my “networking” skills, in other words, it’s time to get web savvy, and it’s time to BLOG.
So, without further elaboration, I am too thrilled for words (me – Wordy McLongwinded, I know, can you believe it??) to blog my first WEDDING!! No, it’s not my first wedding, gosh no, done hundreds of those, but it does have the distinction of being the first wedding I am blogging about. So yeah…cool J.
And so, of course as my very first “blogged” wedding it HAD to be one of my hands-down favorite weddings of the past year. It featured some of the VERY finest vendors L.A. has to offer, and a bride that was all about GlamglamGLAM!
Jenna came to me originally with a VERY different vision than we ended up with for her September wedding. Since her wedding was to be held at the beautiful Ponte Family Winery, in Temecula, she really wanted to play up the vineyard feel, with grapevines, wine bottles, etc. As you can see from the gorgeous images below – it is a bride’s prerogative to change her mind!! J. Truly, though, I was so thrilled to make Jenna’s *true* vision for her florals come to life. The rich pinks, densely packed ROSES everywhere, dripping crystals and romantic, candlelit vibe that resulted, was pure MAGIC. And more importantly, it was SO a true reflection of Jenna’s feminine spirit and love for grandeur and opulence!
Thank you so much to Eric J of Jim Kennedy Photographers, for the stunning eye candy! This beautiful wedding was handled by Paola Spagnoletti and her AMAZING team, at Just Chic Events. It is always such a joy to work with Paola, she handles every event with poise and panache!
